Abstract: This polygon shapefile contains Federal Aviation Administration temporary flight restrictions (TFR) for the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii. New TFRs are added to the shapefile as they become available. TFRs shapefiles are potentially updated every 10 minutes, but at least once an hour.
Purpose: This shapefile can be used to plan flight routes and manage aircraft around restricted airspace.
Description: This polygon shapefile contains Federal Aviation Administration temporary flight restrictions (TFR) for the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii. TFRs include type (e.g. STADIUM), altitude and reference (i.e. AGL or MSL), valid and expire times, in addition to full TFR text. New TFRs are added as they become available, and are removed when no longer available, from the source. TFRs shapefiles are updated approximately every 10 minutes; each new shapefile overwrites the previous shapefile. This shapefile can be used to develop aircraft flight plans and to monitor aircraft flight positions.
